yes, since a triac is employed and changing regulator from 1 to 5 is infact increasing delay in the firing angle of thyristor that is less portion of input AC cycle is getting way to the load and therefore power consumption is decreasing
To change the power window motor regulator in a 2004 Chevy Colorado, first disconnect the vehicle battery to ensure safety. Remove the door panel by unscrewing any visible screws and gently prying it away from the door frame. The regular change of oil will not significantly show any change in fuel consumption, if considered over short period. The regular oil change will help in maintaining good engine health and power. It will also increase engine's life. In long term there will be saving in consumption of gas.
Yes and no. Yes: The alternator will charge the battery any time the engine is running (even at idle) if the battery's voltage is below the threshold (usually around 12 volts) so that the voltage regulator triggers the alternator to generate power (around 14 volts) until the battery is charged up. No: If there is not enough consumption of power, the battery may be charged enough and the voltage regulator will not trigger power generation.
After confirming the generator and regulator control panel are working correctly, you can safely connect the runway cables to the regulator to provide power. Ensure the connections are secure and follow any manufacturer guidelines for the connection process. Double-check the setup before turning on the power to avoid any issues.

it could be the alternator not putting out any juice. the alt could b to blame but the regulator is more likely if it's an internal regulator there not that hard to change
If it is an external regulator, it should be located on the driver's side of the engine compartment in between the headlight and radiator. It has a square cover and a plug with four positions on it. I don't know if any '72s came with internal regulators. But in any case people do sometimes change the systems to internally regulated alternators. In which case the regulator in inside the alternator.
A: the answer lies with the power consumption of any device while operating normaly.
