Well first off, your question makes no sense. Even if a whale was a fish (which it is not) it would still be an animal. FISH ARE ANIMALS!!! I am guessing you meant to say mammal. And if that is the case, Whales are mammals! Which are also animals!!

No, whales are a member of the mammal family.
A whale is a mammal, just like dogs, horses, lions, monkeys and even people. Dolphins and porpoises are mammals too, they just live in water instead of on land.

lungs
Lungs.
It is physically impossible for a whale to breathe underwater, as they don't have gills. They breathe using a blowhole on top of their head when surfacing every few minutes, and the blowhole leads to a tube called trachea to transport the oxygen safely into the lungs.

A whale is a mammal and need to breath air.

Whales are not fish and do not have gills. Whales are mammals and breathe with lungs. When they dive they hold their breath.

The only kinda-sorta exception is the whale Shark, which is a fish - with gills - but big as a whale.

No, whales are mammals, thus do not have gills. They have a blowhole - a modified nostril - connected to their lungs to breathe with.
