If your talking about the dragon bosses, they have not been seen in a while. There are a couple posts on the official forums asking for them to return, but Blizzard has yet to make any sort of reply about them.

Level 80 raid bosses are not meant to be soloed. In fact even most level 70 instances can not be soloed. If they were meant to be soloed then it would not be a MassivelyMultiplayer OnlineRole-PlayingGame.

Best way to raid: get 10 or 25 people together and walk into the raid. You will need (depending on the raid) 2-3 healers, 2 tanks, and the rest DPS. Other than that, it is just like a 5 man dungeon, with the exception that the trash and bosses are a lot harder. It is helpfull to have a vent/teamspeak/mumble server available to help with commmunication. That is basically how you raid.

Raid cool downs are on the same timers. They both reset during server shut down ever Tuesday morning. BUT, the raid ID numbers are infact different. So if you decided to do a 25 Man raid, killed all the bosses, then decided to do the same exact raid with only 10 people, you could. You would then have to wait until the servers reset to run them again.
