Child beauty pageants are NOT WRONG if you do not get too carried away. It's something fun a mom, or dad and their kid can do together. They are not bad, like everyone says they are. Kids love them because they think they look like little princesses! And they do, jueasy on the makeup and skimpy clothing and there is nothing you can complain about. And THAT is the truth about beauty pageants.

I believe "The Mother" is written on not just Snow White and Little Red Riding Hood but the story of Sleeping Beauty; thus explaining the "drops of blood that fell" as Sleeping Beauty's finger was pricked leading her to sleep for 100 years. I do not believe that the child turns against the mother. Yes Snow White's mother dies in labour and this is linked to "she's always dying early" but Snow White is not linked to the earlier section of the poem. The poem also links other fairy tale stories other than these three, you will find that most popular princesses from tales have a reference in the poem.

From my own personal experiences I can personally say that beauty pageants are a wonderful thing. They can teach young ladies great things. Poise, to become social with new people, stage presence, and that certain need to take care of yourself. Beauty pageants were such a great thing for me. As a young child I had no confidence within myself. Though, pageants made me learn that I can be beautiful. They made me feel good about myself, and they also helped me become to love myself.
