Yes, because it has been well-established by astronomical observations such as the apparent movement of galaxies away from us, and the cosmic microwave background radiation believed to be the leftover light from the big bang. The evidence for a big bang having taken place about 15 to 20 billion years ago is overwhelming.
I'm the one who asked the question and i say no because what? a giant explosion out of nowhere come on! only an idiot doesnt believe in God. God created it. But please if you don't believe in God, you could go to Hell for eternity.
If someone could please just state the law of energy, then after you answered that then try and sell the big bang TEORY... HAHA! The big bang theory isn't based on science... Its based on religion. Any scientist worth any thing (even gr 10 kid that has science at school for that matter) would know that energy can ONLY be transferred NEVER created. SO PLEASE TELL ME HOW THIS EMENCE BALL OF ENERGY SUDENLY APPEARD IN THE FIRST PLACE...
God 1 big bang 0
Dont wake up in hell to realize that God did create it all....

First, Big Bang Cosmology (BBC) does NOT state our Universe began with "a giant explosion" -- it states that, for the last 13.7 billion years or so, space (NOT matter)has been expanding. There was no "emence [sic] ball of energy" that "sudenly[sic] apeared[sic]." The "bang" was that of space as a whole. BBC also makes NO STATEMENT WHATSOEVER about what was there prior to this expansion, or why expansion started.
Scientists DO agree that it was something beyond their present understanding. In this way it was like the law, that even a grade 10 kid would have known, that MATTER can only be transferred, only created -- once believed but now known to be incomplete. This "something" that scientists don't presently understand (like they used to not understand radio-activity) might have will, thought, morality, and purpose -- or, perhaps, like radio-activity, it might not. At this point the score is
God 1 -- Something other than God 1
Scientists do not have answers about certain aspects of BBC, just like they lack answers on why there is lightning in the sky. To say, "Scientists don't fully understand the Big Bang, thus it never happened" would REQUIRE you to ALSO say, "Scientists don't fully understand lightning, thus it doesn't happen."
BTW, last time I checked, Jesus said to the thief on the cross, "Today you will be with me in Paradise" -- but did NOT add, "Unless, of course, you believe that, 13.7 billion years ago, the space in our Universe began to expand -- then you go to Hell."
sikhs do believe in the big bang theory. it was written in the guru granth sahib ji before scientists found out.
no
Implying that you believe in The Big Bang Theory then yes our "World" aka Earth was created from the products of The Big Bang.
I believe in the big bang theory! God spoke and BANG! It happened.
The Big Bang Theory
It depends, because some might say 'scientists'. But not all scientists believe in this theory. Also, there are those who believe in a similar idea to the Big Bang, but it is not refered to as 'The Big Band Theory.'
Hello i am minakshi answer is that the big bang theory is an example of old scientific theory as big bang theory explains that there was an explosion but the isotropy and the homogenity of the universe is not explained by big bang theory to explain his we connect inflatation theory with big bang theory to explain it so the big bang theory is also an example of old scientific theory.
Start from the Answers.com topic about big bang theory (in the link). I believe Simon Singh's book mentioned there is also nice.
science
This is really an opinion. Some believe that god created the universe, and some believe that it was the big bang theory. I myself, being an athiest, believe that it was the big bang, but i really have no idea.
the big bang theory
The Big Bang Theory is set in Pasadena California.
