In your case, it's not really love. Don't take what ever your partner said to heart- it might've seemed real when the words were said, but Love is actually really really hard to find. Know that your not alone in your search, you are going to stumble, but if you really want to find that perfect someone, who will never leave you, you just have to get back up. This is just a lesson, learning what love really is.

The sad truth is that if it really was love, then you will never completely get over them. You will always love them, they will always have a place in your heart. but you can do things to ease the pain. cut all contact, remove all the things that connect to him/her out of your life, avoid him/her. Get out and keep yourself occupied... eventually if you try hard enough you can get to a point where it no longer hurts.If it is someone who you really loved I don't think that you really ever get over them completely.

what i did to get over my first love was just talk about whit my frieds to help me get though it and reminding my self what a jerk he was for doing that to me and if he really loved u he would have not done that and say thank god he's out of my life
