Yes, you can feed an adult red-eared slider once a week (providing it is a large feeding). I've been feeding my red-eared slider once a week (every Sunday night) for a year or two now.
However, recently I've decided to start feeding her two smaller feedings each week. She seems to be ravenously hungry at each feeding, and I suspect that by Friday or Saturday, she is uncomfortable and unhappy because she's just so hungry.
So, yes, you can feed a red-eared slider once a week, but if they seem too hungry at each feeding, then you should probably switch to twice a week.
Also, I wouldn't feed a juvenile turtle, and especially a hatchling, once a week. At that point they are supposed to be growing, so I think they really need to be fed at least two or three times a week.
no you can not feed the res ever 2 months. the res will maybe die of starvation.
A red eared slider will eat strawberries. My red eared slider eat strawberries once a week and maybe half of one. Don't give it to them every day because they are very low in protein but your turtle will love them! i know that the pellets have the most protein and vitamins so you should check that out!
first you would get a tank, then you would have a filter for it, a heater, a light, a basking spot(you dont need a heater its optional) and fill the tank up to half way a bit higher than that. Clean the tank often about every week.(depence how messy your turtle is) if your going to feed it pellets i wouldent feed it to much. I have a red eared slider and it wasent all that hungrey when it was small because its just starting to get used to its habitat.
Forever. How long can they stay alive underwater? It depends.
i usually feed my turtles fresh fruits and veggies once a week They're ok once in a while, but they're high in oxalic acid (along with kale and spinach), which inhibits calcium usage, so don't offer them too often.
Yes they can. They are very healthy for a turtle. A turtle can eat alot of different fruits. And vegtables..
You can feed this once or twice a week
no it is not.it means your turtle has shell rot
I have a red eared slider too. If you turtle is a baby dont worry until the third week or so. You can also try raw meat, baby turtles are usally carnivorous. If your turtle doesnt eat by the third week you should see a doctor. A list of foods for turtles is cooked chiken for a snack or treat, bloodworms, earthworms, veggies, fruits, pinkie mice, and you can also try frozen turtle pellets called NATURAL AQUATIC TURTLE FOOD. I hope it all works with your little slider GOOD LUCK
Fish
depends... did you feed it during that first week?
