YES. A Working interview requires you to WORK which is labor and under labor laws one must be compensated for work. If employers could get away with not paying for working interviews in which a potential employees are performing work tasks, then unscrupulous employers would try to get potential employees to do working interviews and get free labor. NEVER go on a working interview unless you're assured of payment for your time. Otherwise it should just be a verbal interview. Employers can cut a check at end of session and pay as a temp or independent contractor. Don't make it easy for employers to get free help while they wait for who they are going to hire. There are temp agencies to get temporary employees.
