You should. If you didn't (or don't) I would call the dentist/oral surgeon and ask to be prescribed some. If that doesn't work then call your regular doctor and explain the situation to see if he can prescribe yo some and find a new dentist
Yes. If you are being put under, then yes... they do use an IV to put the anesthetic into you. But I am a total wimp when it comes to shots, pains, etc. and it didn't hurt! You could kind of feel the IV being put into you, but it didn't really hurt. Plus, you will fall asleep seconds after! :) Don't worry--- it's WAY easier than you think! The hardest part is recovering...Good luck! :D
yes.. you get about 4-6 depends on how you react to the Novocaine
But their are options nowadays that let you be put to sleep for the procedure (if you really don't like shots) but they tend to be more expensive. Ask your doctor about your options.
I am sure if you wanted to pay for anesthesia, which is the bulk of a bill with that procedure, you could get gassed out. I had three removed, and had a local anesthetic used in my mouth for the procedure. I was awake the whole time. It wasn't terrible...if you can deal with hearing the teeth being removed.
Hope this answer is helpful.
I do hope you mean the Dentist and not you. If that is how the Dentist give you something for the pain yes. There are different ways of doing so. if you are scared of the pain just ask them to put on some creme they use for kids. You wont feel a thing then. I hate the injection too. And speak to the doctor about it if you are scared they are used to it. Dentists today are trained for it.
It might be different in different people's cases although in my case .. my doctor put what is called Liquid Vallum in the iv. This is a type of sedation

The cooling effect of alcohol on the skin is the result of?
When the arm is pulled away from the trunk of the body, it is in a state of abduction.
I too share the same fear and just had the operation done for wisdom teeth extraction. If you are going under anesthesia, the only needle you will really care about is the IV, and once it is in for a few seconds you really don't notice it. I sat with the IV in my arm for about 10 minutes before I was wheeled back into the surgery room, then a oxygen mask was placed over my face and my doctor told me to take some deep breaths. Everything started to get bright and before I knew it I was awake in the recovery room. The soreness after the surgery is much worse than the needle for the IV.
