People tend to criticize anything they don't like. They also see what they want to see and love a good conspiracy theory. The Seventh-day Adventist logo has symbolism in it, but not pagan symbols. See the related link for an explanation of the Adventist logo.
Actually, the current logo of the Seventh-day Adventist Church (with the flame shape) is the first official Adventist logo. Other symbols, especially depictions of the Three Angels, a reference to Revelation 14 and an important concept in Adventist theology and eschatology, have been used on Adventist churches, but these were unofficial.
Before 1997 when the current logo was introduced there was no official Seventh-day Adventist logo. There have been several different designs used over the years for various institutions and departments within the church but there was no single design that was "changed". The current logo that is being used worldwide was commissioned by the Communication Department of Church's World Headquarters located in Silver Spring, Maryland, USA. It was designed by a freelance designer by the name of Bryan Gray. Information about the logo can be found at http://www.adventist.org/world_church/logo
