When I was about 12, my sister and her friends somehow talked me into letting them dress me up like a girl one summer day. I wore a thin white sundress over girl's underwear, makeup, and had my hair tied up in a ribbon. They wanted to take me out to the park, but I put my foot down on going out in public. We played in the back yard instead. It was a hot day.
Unlucky for me, thin fabric doesn't really protect you from the sun well, especially if you've been kind of sweaty. I got a sunburn right through the fabric of my dress. But what was worse was that you could very clearly see the outline of the bra I had been wearing in the sunburn!
I tried to cover up until the sunburn faded, but I didn't do a good enough job. All the boys teased me that I must have worn a bikini to the beach, and that they wanted to see me in it some time. I didn't think telling them what actually happened would have helped.
