I know that if you receive a delivery containing alcohol, then the package is marked that only an adult 21 or older may sign. As far as adult toys, I used to ship adult movies for a distributor. To my knowledge anybody can sign for adult products as long as they do not contain intoxicating substances ( i.e. poppers or wipe-its). Whether or not you have to sing at all depends on how it is sent, and if the sender requested delivery conformation.

In the past, I had a package that had delivery confirmation that I had to pick up at the post office because no one was home when they tried to deliver it. I guess it depends on who's delivering it, and the process doesn't seem to be standardized among different post offices and employees.
