I think so. Also you have to be very motivated student to become a chemical engineer. Chemcial enineering has most required course credit to graduated compare to all majors. My school most major requires 180 credits to earn BS. ChE requires 196 credits. 180 credit would cover only major courses with no electives.
Jack Richardson - chemical engineer - was born in 1920.
A chemical engineer is on average, the highest paid engineer in the world. A chemical engineer is the only engineer who applies physics & mathematics as well as chemistry, biology and economics. A chemical engineer is the most diverse of all engineers. People and the economy depends on chemical engineers since he is directly/indirectly responsible with petrol, oil, food, cloth fiber, medicine. A chemical engineer is the one who can bring cleaner and a greener environment.
It is possible since almost the major subjects of both the disciplines match. A chemical engineer can go for post-graduate study in petroleum engineering easily. Generally, chemical and petroleum engineers would work together in a petroleum/oil& gas industry.
