Do you have to call your hand correctly in poker?

NO...but some one at the table must see it....for instance if u have 56 and your opponent has 34 and the flop comes 3 4 7 you both check a K comes on the turn you both check again and get a J on the river again with the checks. you flip your cards; you think you have nothing and say that and your opponent correctly calls his 2 pair if some one at the table recognizes your mistake you still get the pot.

Greetings, This is a great question. If you are playing in any casino, "the cards speak for themselves."

This means that if you are involved in a hand and you're not sure if you have won or not, as long as you turn all your cards face up at the end of the hand, the dealer must call the winning hand. That's all you have to do my friend.

I have played in some home games that thought otherwise.... If you are going to play in a home game, you better find out up front, before any hands are played, how everybody feels about this. Then you decide if you would play at a game like that. With all of my experience in the casino business, I will not play in a game that doesn't subscribe to the same rules as the casinos do.
