I believe that is inside the manual transmission bell housing
On the drivers side of the transmission bellhousing Check out : www . the ranger station . com ( no spaces ) Click on Tech Library Under the manual transmission section they have a good write-up on how to bleed a hydraulic clutch
can you use a transmission from a 1993 ford ranger in a 2000 ford ranger?
On the 1996 Ranger the manual shows to lift the clutch pedal every 5,000 miles to adjust the hydraulic clutch , I don't know if yours is the same
For a 1993 Ford Ranger : ( DOT 3 brake fluid , meeting Ford specification ESA-M6C25-A ) is used as a fluid for the hydraulic clutch
The clutch replacement labor time is 6.7 hours. Expect another hour if the flywheel needs to be turned or replaced. It is quite an extensive job because the transmission has to be removed.
try replacing the clutch or check your hydraulic cluch fluid. the fluid tank is located on the firewall, lefthand side.
Probably a worn out clutch disc.
Yes
the governer is inside the transmission.
For a 1993 Ford Ranger , 5 speed manual transmission : ( trans code " M " / Mazda ) It takes 2.8 U.S. quarts of MERCON automatic transmission fluid
