No.
The computer on a 2000 Chrysler Sebring is reset by disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes. This forces it to power off and restart.
From the manual - your battery may be dead or very low. From experience - disconnect the negative battery cable for 1-5 minutes to let everything power down. Then reconnect. This "restart" worked for us. Good luck!

take the battery out : )
Try leaving your positive cable hooked up and unhooking your negative cable for about 5 to 10 min. Sometimes this will reset the computer. Hope this helps.
It should restart normally after replacing the battery. If not, it could be a security mode the car has entered. You should question a ford dealership about it.
