Scripture tells us in the Book of Hebrews not to forsake the gathering together of the brethren. I take this to mean meeting together with other believers for the purpose of worship and edification, which would include teaching and prayer. If attending Church is the only interface a believer has with other believers, then I believe it would be prudent for one to attend church as part of his/her obedience to the Lord. I believe the Lord has two purposes in this command. First, believers represent God on this earth with the primary command to make disciples (believing followers of Christ) of all nations. This would be next to impossible without meeting together to pray, strategize and execute a plan. Second, God knows what's best for us. He has, in the new birth, created us for Heaven, which will be populated with believers. While on earth God is molding us into a heavenly people who love, cherish and seek out fellowship with one's brothers and sisters in the Lord. He knows we need each other but do not always do what we know is best, ergo the command. Good Christian? I dislike this term. Scripture says no one is good but God. Scripture also says that God has saved us for good works, which He created beforehand that we should walk in them. Whatever good we do can only be realized as we follow the Holy Spirit's leading. I don't see believers as good or bad Christians. Some follow the Holy Spirit, some follow the flesh. And this is a dynamic behavior, whereby the believer strives to do good but often fails because the flesh is weak. When depending on one's own strength, one cannot do good. When relying on the Spirit one can only do good.
i think if you want to be a good christian then u probs have 2 go 2 church realyyy
Yes, a non-christian can go to church.
Yes she does go to Church, she is a Christian.
yes he does go to church because he is christian not all christians go to church my dad is a christian he doesn't go to church
Not really, you can go to church and still not be a Christian. To tell if your a "good" Christian you look at your attitude and the things you do. If you try your best at all times to be like Jesus Christ then that makes you a "good" Christian. If you love God with all your heart and love everyone even your enemies then that's all that matters. But by loving people you follow all the other qualities of being a Christian.
She doesnt go to church.
christians have to go to church that jesus christ can deliver them and when you're a good christian you might get a HUDGE ! Present from the lord Thats not exactly how it works. You dont get to heaven just because you are 'good' or you go to church. Your heart has to be in it.
No, cause I went to church last month and I'm not a christian.
A lot of Christians go to church on Sunday. Some go Wednesday night. GOijg to church does not make you a Christian thou.
on a sunday
Well it's not essential to be a Christian but it would be nice if you were christened. Also to go to church, but you don't have to do those two things to be a Christian. Go to church and ask questions there! :)
Are you a christian? if you are or aren't, go to Rockpoint church on Keats Avenue in Stillwater, MN!
