Yes you do. My friend bought a BlackBerry on the O2network for the first time last year and had to switch to a BlackBerry tariff which for him was £15 everytime he topped up his credit allowance. Note you don't have to be contract to own a BlackBerry, you can either top up every month or if you don't use all your credit (£15) and have at least £5 in there every month you can apply for a bolt onwhich will give you web allowance every month.
