Well, for free you can get an account and sign up but you can play for membership which is an addition and you can do more things.
Actually for non-members it's definitely a lot better for them because of Pixie Diamonds. And a non-member is free! :D If you like want more features and fully want to customize your fairy you can buy Membership. It's worth it to me.. :) It doesn't cost much at all.
