I am a resident of Alabama. Must I purchase a hunting license to hunt on lands I own in Alabama? No, residents of Alabama are not required to purchase a hunting license to hunt on property they own.
Check with the Alabama DNR to make sure- But most states are the same- Hunting on private land without a liscense is usually ok for the "resident" landowner only. The states use residency as the qualifier so that out of state people do not buy tracts of land for hunting to get around the out of state liscense. It is also a protection for states where hunt clubs exist.
Hunting Liscense are relatively cheap and the funds go to protect the wildlife and the sport of hunting. It is a small contribution to make to save the sport.

Does not matter if on private land or not.

I think you have to be 15 or older to hunt by yourself, but you have to have a hunters ed card and if you are 16 or over you have to have an ARKANSAS HUNTING LICENCE.
Not if you are immediate family of the landowner: children, spouse, parent. Everyone else needs a license.
you will be arrested, your firearm and your vehicle will be taken- anything that aids you to hunt
If the land is in your name, are not required to have a license."I am a resident of Alabama. Must I purchase a hunting license to hunt on lands I own in Alabama? No, residents of Alabama are not required to purchase a hunting license to hunt on property they own."
You need a hunting license no matter what. Unless it is a non game species.
