no, they will usually just put you half way in the machine
Almost all the centres, which do CT scan, can do the whole body scan, probably.
Are you talking about a PET scan?
The scan will reveal details, such as location, about an infection in the patient's body.
I had a nuclear bone scan because of swelling and fracture of the foot. The swollen foot ( of 5 months) lite up like a Chrismas tree? What does this mean?
well first, you dont scan in. you have to insert a 2 foot plug. good luck.
The medical term VQ scan means a combination of two different tests. These tests are called a ventilation scan and a perfusion scan and a both used for the purpose of testing the health of lungs.
The scan should reveal no infection or pathology.
Mri of the body... Or a cat scan of the head
Well I'm not 100% what u mean but a CT scan (Computed Tomography) in medical terms, if this is what your referring to is a scan docs use. It uses X-Rays to take detailed images of your body to look for cancers aneurysms. Etc. and many other things.
An x-ray will scan your body to see what is wrong.
CT Scan. Ultra sound. Xray.
A PET scan shows what level / stage (if any) the cancer is at. An MRI scan doesn't do this, the reader, looks for abnormalities on the scan which shows up everything in the body.
