Can you see a diagram of thermostat housing in a 2003 Lincoln LS?

If you are seeking to replace your thermostat:1. Remove the engine cover.2. You will see a plastic cap to the left of the throttle body. This is the radiator cap. Carefully open it - it's expensive. Look down the cap's housing there to see the thermostat.3. Remove the radiator cap housing and attached hoses to remove/replace the thermostat. Before you do that, carefully note the position and placement of the thermostat, which is in two pieces. For any other problems or parts, or for a schematic, call Ricart FLM in Columbus, OH, for the best parts prices.(See their website.) Talk to Lonnie G. there. :

How do you replace thermostat 1999 Saturn sl1?

It's actually easier to replace a Saturn thermostat than most other vehicles. Simply remove the thermostat housing and get a new one. The thermostat is molded into the housing. Remove the radiator hose to the housing, then remove the two nuts that hold the thermostat housing to the engine. You may need to work at breaking the housing loose since the gasket has probably seized to the engine. Simply clean off any left-over gasket, and put the new gasket and thermostat housing in place.

To replace a thermostat in a 1990 Ford Tempo do any other parts have to be removed?

You first need to remove the water pump. The thermostat is mounted inside water pump housing. It is a cumbersome process removing the water pump. Like loosening the belt tensioner and attached belts. But, once that is done and the water pump is off. It is a simple pop out of the old thermostat and pop in of the new one. Then reassemble in reverse order.

How do you replace a thermostat on a 2000 jeep wrangler 4.0 l straight six?

Follow the upper radiator hose until it connects to the thermostat housing.(where the hose meets the engine block). Remove the bolts securing the housing to the motor. remove old thermostat and scrape the melted gasket from both surfaces and clean thouroughly. If you do not have another gasket availiable, any auto parts store carries "liquid gasket". Install new thermostat ensuring it is in the right direction.( There is an arrow on the thermostat showing which direction shall face the flow of coolant).
