It depends what car you're talking about
you have to take a wrench and pull the bolts off
Remove the 30mm nut on the hub. Remove the caliper. Remove the strut to knucle bolts (2), and remove the tie rod end. Push the axle towards the engine. using a little muscle pull it out from the knuckle and pull it out from the tranny differential
remove axle nut in center of wheel before jacking it up then raise and support vehicle on stands and remove front tire then caliper and rotor then rotor mounting bracket remove bottom ball joint from the front spindle and you should be ready to pull the axle out then just reverse these steps to reinstall. hopefully this helps you
Lift bike up off of ground. Remove front brake pads. Remove speedometer gear box screw and pull out cable. Loosen 4 small bolts on axle shaft holder. Loosen axle shaft. Remove axle shaft, 4 small bolts and holder. Wheel will come off.
Just pull it out. There should be nothing holding it in the differentail after you remove the locking hub and the hub.
No. just remove the calipers
jack up car remove wheel remove axle nut take bottom 19mm bolt loose and 14mm loose from horseshoe remove horseshoe separate spindle from lower ''a'' arm pull Axle out of spindle remove from trans to replace reverse process
Jack up and remove tires. Remove axle cotter key and nut. Remove ball joint cotter key and nut. Drop lower control arm and pull axle from spindle. To do this put castellated ball joint nut on backward and flush to protect threads. Strike balljoint nut with deadblow hammer while prying lower control arm loose. Sharply pull axle shaft from differential. 700XP owner, axle repair wizard.
If it is a 5.9L it is easier to pull the engine to get the oil pan off. In the truck the axle is in the way.
Jack and secure vehicle. Remove tie rod nut and separate of knuckle. Remove axle nut and strut bolts. Use pry bar to remove inner CV joint from trans. Pull CV axle from vehicle.
pull drum off and get an axle puller. Although correct this answer assumes you mean the rear axle. If that is the case pull the drum off after removing the wheel and remove four bolts holding the axle bearing to the differential housing (on opposite side of brake backing plate) and then use a reversible hammer (axle puller) to pull the axle out from the differential axle housing.
You can take the hub and shaft out at the same time with out removing the nut. just remove the wheel bearing hub assembly bolts (should be three) and then pull the hub assembly out, they will stay together.
