They are born ready to eat and drink water on their own. They need to start being weaned at 2 weeks old and fully at 3 weeks old. Males become fully fertile at 3 weeks old and to prevent back breeding, they must be removed.
Well from what I've learned (i'm not an expert) there is no reason for him to stay there and I think its better if he is not there so there is no chance he will get the mother pregnant again or harm the babies.

Given the early ages at which some males and females are sexually mature (females have reportedly been impregnated by 24 day old males), it is advised to remove the male young by 3 weeks at the latest. The earliest dates of sexual maturity are reported by V.C.G. Richardson in the 2000 edition of "Diseases of Domestic Guinea Pigs" on page 15:
Sexual maturity (female): 4-6 weeks
Sexual maturity (male): 3-5 weeks

They can be pregnant but it is not fair for a baby guinea pig to have to hold up to 8 guinea pigs. There is a very high chance they will die. I had a guinea pig that was pregnant when I got her(she was 14 weeks when she had babies) and she had 2 babies and tey all survived.
Female guinea pigs reach sexual maturity at about six weeks, so the same as any other female guinea pig abouth 63 days, 9 weeks. Male guinea pigs reach sexual maturity at about five weeks.

You separate the guinea pigs only if you don't want the female to become pregnant. If you do want her pregnant ask a vet or someone who has bred before for advice to make the birth easier and more comftorable.

If you want to breed your Guinea pigs, you don't want to move male Guinea pig. They quickly increases their population,so most pet owners separate males from females.Their pregnancy last for about two months and have about 3 to 4 babies. Male Guinea pigs must be separated from pregnant Guinea pig because he may cause too much stress for her and she can become pregnant again as soon as she gave birth. You should also separate male Guinea pigs from baby Guinea pigs.
