There are many organizations that will help pay for hearing aids. First, if you are looking for a job you should go to your local Vocational Rehabilitation office. They will provide funding to get you hearing aids if your hearing loss is getting in the way of a job. After that, ask your audiologist which local clubs donate to hearing aid purchases. Mostly they will be the Sertoma, Lions, and Rotary club. Third, there are many charitable organization in each state who work with the poor. Your audiologist may also be able to set you up with a hearing aid from the local hearing aid bank, which will have very good quality mildly used devices a generation or two old, but still very effective.
I hope that this helps. If none of these suggestions help, contact your state commission for the deaf and hard of hearing. They will have updated information for you as well.

To help people hear.
An aid can help a person hear better, but it won't return hearing to normal levels. Hearing aids boost all sounds, not just those the person wishes to hear. Especially when the source of sound is far away
I have read that the tufts on lynx's ears help them to hear... they act as hearing aids so they can locate their prey. :)

My grandfather and grandmother wear hearing aids. They are in the upper 80's and can barely hear without them. I believe it is quite typical of older people to wear hearing aids to hear well. Otherwise they are missing out on a lot of conversations.
Hearing aids are devices used by people who can't hear that well or people who are deaf pick up some sound waves. Mainly this is used to hear when it becomes hard to.
No, there is currently no known cure for AIDS.
Gecko doesn't help to cure AIDS.
