Bowth when it is cold keep it inside because it will sie if it gets very very cold but if it is nice and hot then put it outside so it can enjoy the great outdoors. Trust me on this one ive got a tortoise

As long as you create a proper habitat for your red footed tortoise to live in, keeping it indoors for the first few years shouldn't be a problem. They can live to be 50 years old.
