People have different opinions about eating GMO foods. Some do not seem to be concerned about eating them, while others prefer to avoid them. It doesn't appear that anyone seeks them out so they can eat them. Personally, I do not like to eat GMO foods simply because there are still too many uncertainties about them, and there is at least some anecdotal evidence that they cause harm to people's health. Also, the science used to show they are safe is heavily influenced by the very corporations that create the GMOs.
Some believe GMO foods are no different than natural foods. Others believe people should not eat GMO foods because they are not the same as natural foods and they are net yet proven not to be harmful.
The number of people who do not want GMO food is not known. What is known is that a large percentage of people want GMO foods in the United States to be labeled like they are in England. They want to be able to make an informed choice about the food they eat, and many do not want to eat GMO foods at all, but labeling GMO foods has come against opposition from biotech and food companies.

Some people believe GMO foods are equivalent to non-GMO foods and are safe to eat. Others question if either is true.

Some claim science shows GMO foods are just as healthy as non-GMO foods. The FDA has declared GMO foods to be substantially equivalent to non-GMO foods. Anecdotal evidence suggests GMO foods have health issues that are unique to them. It is likely that the answer to whether GMOs are healthy is actually "We really do not know."
