no at least not when you are updating the ipod touch to the 2.2

No but you will loose all of the songs that you downloaded to your "touch" at his house...

No. As long as you have it backed up to iTunes or iCloud, you can restore it to those settings before the jailbreak

to Reconfigure the settings on the ipod touch allowing you to do several things your notsupposed to be able to do, such as put a background on your app pages, put 30 apps on one page, etc, if oyu jailbreak your i pod touch, you will lose your warrenty from apple. and you if you do not jailbreak it properly, you will screw up your i pod touch but you can easily re set it, google jail break to find internet sites you can download the jail break app to your computer and youtube how to do it properly

It probably won't, but if you jailbreak your iPod touch and then update the operating system (giving you new features that Apple is offering), your data will be wiped from your iPod and it won't work anymore, which is a major disadvantage because if you want to do new, cool stuff on your iPod, jailbreaking will stop you from getting a lot of it. That's why I DON'T recommend jailbreaking.
