you cant anymore
No. If you sync your iPod it wont delete your apps. But if you click "Restore" while the iPod is plugged in, then it will restore you iPod to how it was when you bought it (no apps, no contacts, etc.) and then update it to the newest version of software.
YES IT DOES. I HIGHLY RECCOMEND YOU TO NOT UPDATE YOUR IPOD OR IOS DEVICE, WHATEVER IT IS. I have the oldest version of the apple Ipod and i wanted to update it to 4.0 update and it said if i was to do that, then i would lose EVERYTHING.
When you update your iPod 4gen it should not screw up your iPod. You apps will still be there.
No it will restore the apps automactically
If you jailbroke it by using cydia all the apps and cydia apps will get deleted
Now you will not delete all your apps. If you restore your ipod it will delete all your apps but you can always re-download for free, even if it cost $ before. (Don't update if you have a jailbroken ipod)
It means that you need to update either your software or apps depending on what the message is asking you to update.
You have to manually update the OS and apps
no at least not when you are updating the ipod touch to the 2.2
To transfer download iPod apps (games) onto your iPod, connect your iPod to the computer and open iTunes. Click on the Ipod sign. Then when it says update or restore go to the top of that little bar above it. It will say "summary, apps, ext.. Click on apps and mark the apps you want to put back on your Ipod. Hope that helped.
you may need to update your apps or restart the apps.
