alpacas, because of the more valuable hair and rich milk
they both spit (llamas spit more than alpacas). they are both my favorite animals
Llamas are considered animals. To get more detailed, llamas are relatives of the alpaca. Of course, in my opinion llamas are better than alpacas.
Alpacas can and often do live with llamas in captivity. Many people keep at least one llama in with their alpacas to protect them from & warn them of predators, as llamas are more inclined to fight off predators and protect their herd than alpacas.
Lamas
Llamas, because they're simply much more efficient for towing Jesus over the water.
- Llama are about twice the size of alpacas - Llamas have very coarse outer coat hair that covers a soft inner coat - Alpacas have a very fine, soft single coat - alpacas like to stay in herd - alpacas have straight ears - llamas have curved ears - llamas back is straighter and good for packing
donkey and horses are parts of the horse family.
Alpacas, like their close relatives the llamas and their more distant relatives the camels, do not need to drink a lot of water because they are very efficient at retaining and recycling water. They resorb a great deal of water from their intestines, to the point their feces are quite dry, and concentrate their urine significantly. With such low water loss, alpacas don't need to drink much water.
Yes, llamas and alpacas do spit. It is VERY nasty!Llamas spit out of irritation and over food, they generally spit at other llamas. Not all alpacas spit.
Animals that grow fleece -- much as humans grow hair -- include sheep, goats, alpacas llamas, yaks, and more. Camels and rabbits, for example, grow fur or hair that can be cleaned, carded and spun into wool.
Sheep are the only animal to provide wool - other animals do provide fibre - Angora goats provide mohair and Cashmere goats provide cashmere also llamas and alpacas.
You might be able to fit a small llama halter onto a large alpaca, but it would be dicey. Llamas are approximately twice the size of alpacas and tend to be more docile, so it would be better to get a halter meant for an alpaca if that is what you wish to use it on.
