Do you need a big backyard for a border collie?
plain and simple no. they need a lot of space to roam and run around it.
I have a 2yr old Border Collie/Pit mix and he is 85 lbs.
Energetic among all things. Sometimes they can be a bit mean but only without proper training. Which is another thing. Border Collies are one of the hardest dogs to train. You need to read up on all the Dummies books and Idiots Guides they are all very helpful for first time owners. Border Collies also need plenty of room to run. If you dont have a big backyard, don't get a Border Collie. Without room… Read More
Bigger than your mum. That is big.
These dogs are VERY hyperactive. If you get one, you'll need a big backyard, a large open field, or a park nearby. Their instincts are to herd, so if you have any small children, do NOT get a Border Collie. We had one when my sister was a baby and we had to get rid of her because she nipped at her. So, I'm saying this one more time, if you have small children, do… Read More
There isn't really a smooth-coated border collie. The border collie is a different breed, but the rough collie, with a long double coat, and the smooth collie, with a shorter coat, are pretty closely related. The rough collie and the smooth collie both originated for herding purposes in the British Isles. They have the same general shape, size, and colorations. The only big difference is the coat type.
probobly beetween its size and a big dogs size it depends tho if the mom is a chihuahua she could die becouse of the size mabey if the moms the border collie it wouldent really hert her so i would recomend the collie to be the female
Border collie's are very high in energy and need a big garden and toys to entertain them. Toys help to keep border colllies mentally stimulated. As border collies are very intelligant they need a lot of room to run around and play!
They can get up to 5/3 or even 4/2
It depends. Shelties are smaller and not as active. also, they normally have longer hair. Collies require lots of running and playing and they are a larger dog. you can get one with short or long hair. If you do not have a big backyard, do not get a collie.
The Siberian lynx is about the size of a medium house dog, such as a border collie or boxer.
I don't know in inches but I have a 9 month border collie and he is up to my 12 year old daughters hip
border collies can range in size there is no true answer you will only get an average but border collies are medium sized dogs. my border collie is smaller than others just like his parents.
it would really depend border collies need lots of exercise a day while a chihuahua not much at all also border collies shed a lot and can grow to be quite big its probably best to do quite a bit of research on both of the dogs
i would not do it....you will need a license to have a wild animal in your backyard
they are medium sized, so around 19-22" for males, and 18-21" for a female.
Yes, big time. So be prepared for constant hair everywhere.
I'd say about 2-3 times a day maybe 4 if its a very big dog.
88888888888888888888888888888888 fit tall Well basically, it depends how big the dog is, although the usual size is half a meter!!!!
I think ( and this is me ) that the Border Collie or German Shepard would be the most liked breed of a dog. I myself have 2 beautiful Border Collies and i love them dearly. They and German Shepard are like the same. They may be a bit more harder to look after but they love you and will always give you gifts such as a broken dog toy or a small dead animal… Read More
It needs to be a big area to where it would have fun and run around in.
They can grow up to 6ft. It does of course depend on the breed. The breed most used is the border collie which is a medium sized dog. About 20 in at the withers. They are considered one of the most intelligent dogs and are very active and need plenty of exercise and stimulation.
they stop growing at about age two (thats how old mine is), and their back comes to about an averaged sized 11 year olds knee (me)
Dogs need a small room for eating, drinking and sleeping. They also need a big backyard to run around in.
No they don't.They are happiest if they can be with their family. They can be happy in an apartment if they are properly exercised.
The official Kennel Club Breed Standard for the Staffordshire Bull Terrier states that they should grow to between 14 and 16 inches at the shoulder. It is not clear whether you mean Border Terrier or Border Collie, so the Breed Standard for Border Terriers says that they should grow between 11 and 16 inches at the shoulder, whilst Border Collies should grow to between 19 and 22 inches at the shoulder. Therefore, a Staffy X… Read More
How big will a half dachshund Basset Hound half border collie puppy get the girl at the moment is 8 pounds boy is 10 pounds at 10 weeks?

Since this is an opinion you will get a variety of answers to this question. No one answer this the best. It is for you to decide which you like better. I think a wolf hound has a certain style but they are big dogs.
They don't necessarily need a big backyard as long as they are getting plenty of exercise with a small one or with walks. They are an energetic dog and require (not request) a lot of attention.
not really unless it is very big and spacious. and you may need to build a stable. you probally could keep a shetland but it would also need to be grassy
whether or not you can keep a horse in your backyard will depend on your local zoning laws regarding livestock. Unless otherwise noted in the city or county laws you must have agriculture or residential agriculture zoning to keep livestock, which includes horses. These laws will also state how much land you must have to keep a horse ( in many places it's a minimum of 1 to 5 acres per horse.) the majority of… Read More
It looks like at least part border collie, maybe a border/golden cross. The body shape, markings, etc. look like a border only a bit bigger. Good-looking dog! (Is it Ms. Field's dog? They certainly look like good friends.) *** I think he's got some Great Pyrenees in him - mixed with Border Collie. My dog looks a lot like him, but is larger - at 130 pounds. (I just had his DNA checked.) That could… Read More

No because you will need a very big backyard to put the bobcat and it might be dangerous to people that have not spent time to know the bobcat very well.
Well, it depends on the type of tortoise you have. If you have a sulcata or leopard tortoise they can live in your backyard if you have a lot of room for them to roam. If you have a tropical tortoise like a red-footed tortoises you would need to put him either in a big tropical cage or in a tropical backyard.
Under a big rock or in the shade
well which dog breed you pick depends on what sort of person you are if you live in a city i would recomend getting a dog that isnt very energetic like a jack russele but you will still need to take it for walks another great family dog is a golden retriever. but if you have a big place like a farm where there is long grass i would recomend a kelpie, blue healer or a… Read More

It depends on the type of dog. If it's a small dog, like a chihuahua, they'll get plenty of exercise running around the kitchen. If it's a bit bigger, like a Yorkie, take them on short walks, like around your block or give chew toys to them and play with them. If it's like the size of a beagle do the same as you would for a yorkie sized dog. If it's the size of… Read More

Alaskan Malamutes can be dominant and are somewhat known for being escape artists. As puppies they tend to teeth on either your possesions or your family, but as they get older teeth are replaced with stronger adult teeth and their jaws get stronger. I myself have a big dog, but I know I can trust him. I suggest getting a more 'been there done that dog'. Preferably about 2+ years. But, if your main concern… Read More

It depends on where you live. If you have a backyard, you can keep one until he's too big to live in a backyard. Also, in some states it's against the law.
No, he had a small gathering in his backyard.
