No. Lots of women have them on their doctors' recommendation because it can make certain parts of the Change easier, but I have heard of women who live to regret it as it can damage your sex life.

∙ 10y agoNot unless it includes an oopherectomy as part of the procedure.Total hysterectomy is the removal of uterus and cervix so the ovaries are left in place. menopause is caused by the gradual failing of the ovaries in producing female hormones such as estrogen. So not unless you have an oopherectomy which removes the ovaries and places you into immediate surgical menopause.
