You definitely do. I'm currently working on my Bachelor's of Science in Health Services Administration and have been told several times that you need at least a Masters in Health Administration, Business Administration, or a related field to even be considered for the positions (COO, CFO, Department Head, etc.) that will eventually boost you into the CEO position.

Your going to need nothing less than a bachelor's degree in business. Of course having your masters is a super plus! There are some CEO's that got there on there business savvy as oppose to a degree. Business works like this. Get a masters degree to be safe!

The current CEO of Foster Wheeler is J. Kent Masters. However, after the constant CEO shuffle the company has endured over the last several years, there is no way to tell how long he will last.

You would, to be competitive, need to have some type of graduate degree in healthcare. A MPH, MHA, MBA, ect. Also, the vast majority of people in that position are MDs, with many years of medical experience under their belt. In fact, a lot of MDs get MBAs, MHAs or MPHs to get access to those positions. Its very hard to do otherwise.
