you don't need to bath them because they take a bath themselves. i think you only do that once a week if they didnt do it. just dip them in water...
None. They can do it for themselves.
no
Yes, hermit crabs don't usually fight. You could give the new hermit crab a bath so that it smells the same as the other hermit crab in you tank.
yes, but if you supply water and there is enough for them to completely submerge in they will bath themselves as they feel needed.
Only if they have no way of getting out of the water. They will climb out when they need to but you shouldn't put them in a situation where they are unable to get out of the water on their own if they need to.
Absolutely!
Hermit crabs molt when they feel the need to. Nothing is wrong with your crab if it hasn't molted. :)
a hermit crab
You don't. While it's suggested that you bathe your hermit crab when you first bring it home to flush debris out of it's shell and look for mites, as long as your provide pools deep enough for your crab to get their shell opening into, you do not need to bath it.
No, they don't unless there is a problem and your hermit crab has chosen to surface molt. In that case, he needs darkness and the best thing to do is give him a hidey such as a cocohut or other shelter so he can keep himself in darkness. Never ever disturb a molting hermit crab if it can be avoided. if a crab does surface molt, it is vital that you section him off from any other crabs you may have. This includes keeping them from being able to dig down under a barricade, as a molting crab gives off a very enticing smell (which is not an issue when they bury to molt) which may attract other hungry hermit crabs who will steal the shed exoskeleton of the molting crab who needs to eat it to regain strength. The newly molted hermit crab is also extremely soft and vulnerable, and could also become a target of another hungry hermit crab. for more hermit crab information you can rely on: http://www.hermitcrabparadise.com
you don't need to do anything a hermit crab will do it itself. if a hermit crab losses a leg it will grow back. it will grow back after molting.
