You can be faraway only if you have diamond and pearl and platinum because thanks to Nintendo wifi connection and the Nintendo DS you can trade Pokemon around the world using a global trading system in jubilife city in the Pokemon center. You can't trade Pokemon faraway with ruby or sapphire or emerald.
