If one is seeking an art job in the fashion industry, it would be quite advantageous to have a degree from an art school. With degree in hand, one may need to get an internship or trainee position to prove one's worth. If the art job one is seeking is as a fashion designer, do not discount the value of attending a fashion design institute.
Fashion sketches or drawing skills in general are skills which requires frequent practice. When a person draw, the techniques and styles develops and improve. There are life art classes, which one can consider to take, it can help artists to get an idea of the anatomy. In the fashion industry there are often sketches of people wearing the clothes. Other than life art classes, there are some educational institutes that offer courses like fashion and textiles or design technology, which could help develop drawing skills and fashion sketches to build a portfolio for higher education.
A multimedia artist or an animator makes about 80,000 a year. A video game designer makes an average of 70,000 per year. Art directors make a median of 85,000 a year.
Yea, it's really tragic. However they are a few of them that are straight... all the women and few men are straight designers (Jimmy Choo and Ralph Lauren). But you notice that gay men are mostly more creative and talented in the field of fashion design, whereas straight men usually don't care about fashion and art. Gay designers tend to have more brilliant minds in creating clothes and other accessories. They can immediately tell what designer clothing a girl is wearing just by looking at it, straight men would not even notice or care. Alex Wang is drop dead gorgeous, too bad he isn't straight. Nonetheless, many women love him for his creative and genius mind (and bags/clothes, of course) and fantasize over him for his looks. There are a few straight designers out there, you just need to look for them. =)

A fashion designer should take art classes and marketing classes.
you will need to get a level 7/8 to be a fashion designer! ^what does that mean? and if you are choosing your GCSE'S .. like i am, you are ment to study somekind of art... preferably textiles and a buisness studys. this is what you will have to have to enter into art corses. and apparently you have to have 1 alevel in art or buisness. .. im trying to figure this all out to!
i think it should be maths (angles) art and design
* maths * english * art * textiles * science
well you need at least ABBBC or something like that. a higher English and art. i think.
Art & Design, Business Studies, Textiles, ICT, Product Design etc
It depends on personal opinion of which schools are good for that person. My advice would be to to chose an Art focused school, or Fashion school.
