Everyone should take a multi vitamin supplement. Our food supply today, in many cases is not in a natural state. The food does not contain the vitamins as it did say 100 years ago when food was not processed. As for the B complex vitamin the same holds true. Many of our so called natural foods are grown in soil that is depleted in minerals. You would be wise to take both supplements as we do not get enough B vitamins from our food.
IF you eat a balanced diet then you don't need to take any vitamins, they're in your food. If there's any question about your diet, it won't hurt you to take supplements, and B & C are water soluble so a one-a-day tablet will do no harm (and may do good).
Do not take extra doses. If anything, take a daily pill every other day.
