It can be tricky. You'll need ring closers. If you only have pliers, wrap some medical tape around them so that you don't scratch the ring. My explanation might be difficult to understand so maybe search YouTube for tutorials.
-before you put it in your lip, tighten or open the ring just enough so that the ball will pop in and out easily-there are dimples on the ball
-put the ring in your piercing then slip the ball into place
- tighten the ring so that the ball doesn't slip out
-the end :3
Place the ring then place the captive bead over the seam
You can get it without a captive bead, but it is not recomended. The captive bead protects your piercing unti it is healed by preventing the seam of the ring from possibly scarring. It can be worn inside the lip out of sight and changed out once the peircing is healed.
Either it isn't screwed on tight enough or if its a captive ball ring, the ring isn't tight enough. So either use pliers to squeeze the ring tighter or screw it on.
labrets is the typpe of jewelery used for your lip piercing. they have a flat back on one end and a ball n the other. the flat part is put inside your lip and the ball is the decoration on the outside :D
Just take the ball/bead out of it and put the ring on your lip. If the diameter of the ring is too long, it may not look realistic but just give it a shot. You can't do much else with it.
I think you're describing a Captive ball/bead ring. Its really difficult to explain by typing it out and can be tricky to figure out for the first time. The best thing is to look up videos on how to open/close a CBR on youtube or something like that.
Well if it's a barbell, unscrew the ball and remove the jewellery, if it's a captive bead ring, pop the bead out and rotate the jewellery out of the piercing.
Yeah. Some tongue ring balls are pretty big and may look tacky on lip rings.
If the ball is held in place by the ring, then it's called a Captive Bead Ring, this means it's only held by the tension of the ring (captive). So to remove the bead just apply pressure to the side of the bead away from the ring and the bead will pop off. If you can't get the bead to pop out then you will need to visist your piercer and have them use a ring expanding plier to open the ring enough so the bead will drop out. If it's a barbell then the bead unscrews from the barbell, turn to the left to loosen the ball, turn right to tighten the ball. ( righty tighty, lefty loosie )
Screw the ball back on the jewellery.
I assume you are referring to a CBR (captive bead ring). Here's BMEzine's wikipedia definition of it http://wiki.bmezine.com/index.php/CBR The ball has two dents in it that the edge of the metal fits into. There's nothing you screw on; it just snaps in place. If it's too loose, the ball can fall out. I might have swallowed a lip ring ball once because of that.
not all rings with balls have to screw on, it depends what typre you're talking about some times i get the confusion when some wank stain calls a stud a ring, guessing that its a ring, its not always a screw on ring, my lip ring you clip the ball in, there is a hole running through the ball and out the other side and you put one side of the hole on one side of the ring and clip in the other side. hope this helped, next time ask the person who sells it.
