Prestige mode is a mode online where you rank up and start all over from lvl one but this time with a symbol. It is used to show how high you are in rank and I guess how good you are. The max is 10th prestige.

Yeah it is but when you prestige it takes ages to get up again and all guns are terrible, don't prestige, i don't. nope it is quite fast and easy to rank up once in prestige mode, but if your'e that type of person who loves the ak47, then i wouldn't advice you to rank up in mw2 its fun too

Depending on the COD, it changes the amount of levels they earned. COD4: 55 levels COD5 WAW: 65 levels COD MW2: 70 levels Each prestige has a certain amount of levels needed before going into the next prestige. In MW2 its 70 levels, then prestige, then 70 more levels. Since you need to reach the highest rank before prestige 1 there is actually COD4: 555 levels total as a tenth prestige. COD5 WAW: 715 levels total as a tenth prestige. COD MW2: 770 levels total as a tenth prestige. Lots and lots of games played :)

You have the option to prestige. Once you enter prestige mode, there's no turning back. You start over at level 1 and you lose all of your weapons, challenges, and perks gained from previous levels 1-65. However, a "prestige icon" will appear next to your gamer tag so everyone knows you're in the process of prestige-ing. Prestige 10 times and you can be a level 65 on the 10th prestige, the highest possible rank. The only way to prestige is to go to your barracks, then select "prestige mode" once you have enough xp to do so and follow the command prompts that pop up. Once again, you start over at level 1, but a level 1 on the 1st prestige is a lot more "prestigious" than a level 65 without a prestige.

you can start prestiegeode by getting up to rank level 65 then you can go into barracks and then select the option t prestiege but beware allof you stats weapons and rank ec will be wiped out in order to start prestiege mode but then when you get back up to level 65 you will then finally start prestige mode hope i helped!
