Perhaps not, but it`s an economic issue maybe even a gamble. If it is going to cost you $100 or $200 now, it would be foolish not to go for it. With labor rates today at around $85 per hour, you are betting you won`t need 3 hours worth of service over the next 10 years which is unrealistic. If however the additional cost is significantly higher you may want to pause a bit. It comes down to how much extra will this service cost you up front?Will you use that many hours of labor at today`s rates in the next 10 years? Where will your dealer be in 10 years? How much will labor rates go up during the next 10 years? Lastly, Dealer reputation. If you have a problem and the dealer sucks you will wind up bringing in someone else and effectively paying twice.
