No, the sun rotates about every 25 to 35 days, so we see all sides of the sun, but they all look pretty much the same.

Yes ya you just see different portions and shadows of the moon. That's why there is the expression 'dark side of the moon' because it is always the same side that they are talking about (the side that always faces the sun)

Why people see the same side of the moon?

Just like the sun the moon rises and sets...so as the earth rotates you see the same moon and the same sun it's just when the sun is on one part of the earth you see the moon and vice versa..... Comment: I can't say that helps much, but I will not delete that answer. This is my answer: People see the same side of the Moon because gravity has locked the Moon's rotation period at the same length of time as the time the Moon takes to complete one orbit of the Earth. If you think about it, that means we must always see the same side of the Moon.

Why you can see the sun during day time?

What would result if the moon as on the same side of the earth as the sun?

When the moon is on the same side of earth as the sun ... in the same direction ... then we look up at the moon's un-illuminated side. We can't see any of it at all, and we call it the "New Moon" phase. If the moon is exactly lined up with the sun at that time ... not above or below it in the sky ... then it blocks the sun from our view, and we have a solar eclipse.

What is new moon day and full moon day?

Full moon is when we see the bright side of the Moon - the side illumined by the Sun. New moon is when we see the Moon's dark side.We always see the same side, it may or may not be illuminated, depending on the position in its orbit relative to the earth and sun

Do you always see the same side of the moon from eath?

The answer is yes. We always see the same side of the moon from the Earth because the time it takes the moon to circle the Sun is the same as the time it takes to circle itself.

What part of the moon is always in sunlight?

The part of the moon that is always in sunlight is the "near side" of the moon, which faces Earth and receives light from the sun. This is the side that we see from Earth, as the moon rotates at the same rate that it orbits Earth, keeping the same side facing us.

Does the sun shine at night?

Yes. The sun remains in the same place. The earth rotates on its axis once in twenty-four hours. When one side of the earth is turned towards the sun it will be daylight on that side and night on the opposite side.

We can't see the dark side of the moon from Earth because?

well you can if you look carefully but you cant see it because the sun gives the moon its light at night and if the sun is not on that side then you wont be able to see the other side like you can the other
