well,I spanked the ones that chose to be spanked. Above the age of 8, there was a choice of being grounded , losing a privilege , having extra chores or spanking. There were a pre-determined number of swats, and never done in anger or the heat of the moment. if they dont say anything in 1 minute, you pick two of them yourself. pick the spanking, and extra chores.

First, I am only a kid myself, 13. But it is definitely fine to spank your kids every once and a while when they're bad. When I was 5, 6, 7 and 8 my parents only spanked me a couple times when I was really bad. That made me less of a brat when I was little. Now in comparison to how my little brothers act, I was amazingly well behaved. If they would get spanked once in a while they wouldn't scream and act like they need medication. So yes if your kids are between 4-8 you should discipline them with a spank. As they grow up a little it will be very ineffective though, then would be the time to start taking Video Games or T.V. from them. Then, as they get to be teenagers, not letting them go to their friends house or out with people will be very effective.

Well, I would just go and ask your mom if you could spank my kids. But I probably won't let you. You would need to do it in a respectful way. Ask, then go to a private place, then spank them without me even noticing. Not that hard.
