No.In fact cornstarch helps prevent diaper rash.
Modern baby powder is really cornstarch with fragrance added, and cornstarch is a good cosmetic powder. You COULD use baby powder, but you'll walk around all day smelling like a baby. If one didn't want to smell like a baby all day, they sell cornstarch on the same aisle as the flour and sugar, and it's less expensive to get it that way. Apply it with a fluffy powder brush, or a Kabuki brush.
It doesn't cure diaper rash--cornstarch is mixed with talc to make powder. It is thought to help absorb wetness. If the baby has a rash, a cream with zinc oxide will help heal the rash before it gets out of hand. The baby should also have some time without a diaper on, since air helps.
well there is one way : u know the baby powder on mine it says PURE CORNSTARCH and almost ever body has baby powder sso just add water and baby powder and heres your slime

baking soda however, it usually contains cornstarch or baby powder and children's laxatives.
Use cornstarch, powder foundation, baking soda (makes hair a bit dry though ), plain flour (fave^_^). Do not use baby powder. Baby powder is made of Talc that can cause cancer and asthma. If the baby powder is talc free then you should definetly use it.
I was told by my kids doctor not to use baby powder, that it can cause upper respiratory disorders in babies. But I have used it for years and never seen any effects of it. FACT: Even baby powder that says "pure cornstarch" on the label may contain Tricalcium Phosphate. Read the ingredients. Tricalcium Phosphate when inhaled is harmful. "The substance is toxic to lungs, mucous membrane." Use only pure cornstarch as baby powder, if you use anything. Rotate the bottle with your wrist intsead of shaking the bottle. The powder will tumble through the holes gently. Never shake the powder. ANY particulate can be unhealthy when inhaled.
it absorbs excess moisture and in some sense, lubricates the skin. Cornstarch would do the same thing and is cheaper.
Plain cornstarch or unscented baby powder is best.
yes
Yes, I have been eating cornstarch for sometime now. I am worried about what it is doing to my body. I started eating cornstarch by the box with my third and forth child. My husband caught me liking the baby powder and introduced me to the cornstarch instead. He told me that it was healthier to consume and that it was actually food. Recently I went to the doctor and I was told that my iron was low so I am now taking iron pills for supplement and I haven't eaten cornstarch in about 5 to 6 months. However, I am still concerned about the negative effects, if any, from eating so much of the cornstarch and what can I do to get it out of my system.
