Well, in my opinion it was the opposite of boring!(:

Description of book: (Don't worry, I won't spoil anything(;)

In this book Harry is about 15 years old. In the beginning, he is trapped at the Dursley's house but Mad eye Moody, a girl named Tonks, and a few other people save him while the Dursley's are out. They fly on brooms and bring him to the new place for the order of secrets..(Sirius's house). When he's there he finds out that Sirius, the Weasley's, Hermione, Lupin and other people are there and he gets mad that he doesn't know what's going on. (In the beginning he used the patronus spell to save him and Dudley from dementors, and after that he got a letter saying he's expelled.) On his journey to Hogwarts find out whether he gets expelled or not! Also if he even faces VOLDEMORT. In the end there's a shocking twist that's going to change Harry's life forever. I'm not telling you anymore, but if you want to know what happens you'll just have to rad the book.(:

Very interesting.

If you are even slightly into Fantasy, then you will love Harry Potter novels at any age (even more than the movies).

The writing is brilliant and detailed, without losing pace.

As Harry gets older in each book, he learns more and more about his past and the reason that Voldemort is trying to kill him. But just as Voldemort is regaining his lost power, Harry is learning more and more as well, thus his power is growing also. This of course leads to the exciting finale in the seventh and final book of the series.

No, not at all. Many people enjoy it a lot. If you are considering reading the books, I suggest you start at book #1 (The Philosopher's Stone, also know as The Sorcerer's Stone), since the books follow a clear sequence.

I don't think it's boring. In fact it is very dramatic usually.

There is cruelty everywhere, no point denying it. In Harry Potter the evil of Voldemort is horrific, but its a fact of life, people suffer at the hands of others. Anyway, its just a story. It would be boring if everything was perfectly lovely.
