to tell you the truth...yes. i mean think about it, if your poor, have nothing to eat, etc..your not happy no matter how hard you try, your going to be depressed, and stressful.
The saying basically refers to the idea that money is not everything. Many people struggle with money. Money is needed to survive, but cannot buy happiness.
Money is better than happiness, because when you're family's sick, and you have money, you can fix them, take care of them, and all those things, but if you don't have money you'll not be able to fix them, so no happiness will be there. Unless your living in the UK where the NHS will take care of you, free of charge!
