If the shuffling - or the subconscious mind or whatever it is that controls the shuffle - can arrange cards so they are upright or reversed to be turned sideways, then the same force or whatever it is can set cards up to be upright or reversed when they are turned from top to bottom.
Both ways are correct and ok. Just make sure you are consistent and turn the cards the same way each time.

Only if you know exactly what you're going to have each card mean. You could set up an arrangement of cards that each represent one of the Tarot cards, in which case nobody would complain (unless they took Tarot really seriously), or you could take a lot of cards and decide exactly what you want each of them to mean when they turn up in your reading. Either way, it would take a lot of time, so if you're not very serious about this, just don't do it.

I totally do not understand this question?Actually, I think our subconcious pick cards..remember the law of attraction? Subconcious knows all answers,your past, your future and everything else. So when you use tarot,our subconcious mind choose the best cards for us which represent our future.I somewhat agree with that but I believe it to be our spirit or "soul" that knows all. That spirit is able to connect to those in the higher spiritual realms and they in turn guide and cards and us as we do a reading. That is why is important to pray and get i tune with spirit before doing a reading.
