Not unless there is a possibility you will drill into some wiring.
Remove underhood fuse block (there is a bolt between the body panel and the fuse block housing), set it aside Remove body strut. Unhook negative cable, then positive cable. Loosen battery tie down bolt. Remove battery. Installation is reverse of removal.
Unplug the four wire connector on the back of the throttle body, remove two t25 torx screws. Swap actuator, reverse steps to install. Check the wire from the battery to the body and from the battery/body to the engine block.
clean the throttle body unhook both the batt. cables touch them together for 30 seconds hook batt back up and your good to go
sure connect the positive terminal directly to the booster battery and the negative battery terminal to the body
take the van to the dealer and have the body computer up dated the easiest way to see if this will work is to unhook the battery and if the locks go back to working it will fix it
If it is a early month of 99 and NOT the NEW body design then you can just unhook the battery cable for 5 mins. If it is the NEW body design 2000 and up, then that requires an OBDII engine scanner to turn the light out / Reset the computer.
Unhook your horn and hot wire it from the battery to see if it work. If only one wire is going to your horn that should be your hot wire so gound the negitive wire from the battery to your body.
Probably a bad ground from the battery to engine/body.
unhook your battery for a half hour reconnect your cables you should be back in business. always shut off your computer controlled vehicle connect the cables and then start your vehicle. hope this helps.
the bronco needs to have the ground wire connected from the battery to the body. if you replaced the battery and disconnected that ground it simply won't start.
The factory alarm is built into the Body Computer. It is not possible to unhook it.
