Don't wash them like you would wash your own. You can however get a rag, make it damp with warm water and gently wash their hands. But, do not put the rag near their face and be careful.

the big bathwell the safest thing is Johnson baby wash first get a bowl with water in it then a rag but the rag in the bowl and take it back out then start wipping it with the water he or she may have some sgeaking during it

you have to wash it with leather shoe cleaner and a rag DO NOT PUT IT IN THE WASHER OR DRYER IT WILL WEAR AWAY well at least it did with mine but this is the best way to do it
