Most parents do so out of the good of their heart wanting their child to experience a kind of magic in their youth before they grow up and have to face reality which, for the most part, can be terribly hard to deal with for a lot of people. Whenever that person is facing a tough time, it brings good memories to them and keeps a certain youthful happiness tucked away for when they need it.

Yes because once my dad wasn't home on Christmas Eve but I awoke to hear a loud realeas of methane from a glut but my dad wasn't home it was just my mom. Wait.......................MOM!

haha this is a tough one.. i had this problem too! the thing is you dont want to upset your parents or make them stop 'santa' gifts either anyways, what i did was just drop hints really such as 'whats santa going to get me this year?' and afew others and them when it came to my parents asking me to write my list for samta i just said 'you mean my list to you? sorry, but i know now' and they accepted but still carried on with santa gifts also i had to pretend santa was real still as i have a littlle brother :) hope i helped xx
