It is time for some kind of scheduled maintenance. this could mean an oil change or timing belt replacement. Read your owners manual for the scheduled service intervals and compare it to your miles. A qualified mechanic can perform the work and reset the light, parts stores usually use the cheap code scanners so they may not be able to reset this light but you could try.
Transmission, maybe. Check engine light
The dealer will know how to access the codes for the brakes. When that is fixed it should not lock up then.
Read your maintenance schedule. Usually it means that it's time to replace oil, rotate tires and depending on mileage air filters etc.

I had the same problem on my 92 caravan. The people at the local Autovone told me to disconnect the battery and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes. Then reconnect it. This will also delete your presets on your radio.
